Pro-Bono Shelter Work

As a huge supporter of animal welfare, I'm honored to lend my time and talents to some great shelters and rescues in the Baltimore and Southern PA areas. Over the past four years, I've created dozens of event logos, flyers, social media graphics and t-shirt fundraisers to help raise money for the homeless animals in my community. Pictured above are some of my favorite flyers for BARCS, Maryland's largest intake shelter. Below: a handful of other favorite projects for various organizations.

dogfest

Dog Fest

The Baltimore Humane Society holds an event each year called "Dog Fest", where more than 5,000 animal lovers gather for a day full of games, contests, activities, food, fun and a one-mile walk. I was commissioned to re-design the event's logo while still utilzing their exisitng friendly dog art (a hallmark of the event.)

run for the bullies

Run for the Bullies

Run For the Bullies was developed to give runners, walkers and animal lovers alike an opportunity to show their support for both bully breeds and the York County SPCA. As a race event, I decided to base the design around a sneaker-print while sprinkling in the Rescue's logo and name, as well as a silhouette of a pittie.

cabernet for strays

Cabernet for Strays

The Cabernets for Strays Celebration brings together supporters of Animal Rescue, Inc., featuring music, food and wine, and a silent auction. In addition to creating the branding for the formal event, I also crated to sponsor packet to help draw the support of local vendors.

dogs day in the park

Dogs' Day in the Park

Dogs’ Day in the Park is Animal Rescue Inc.'s most exciting community event of the year! Held in New Freedom each year, the day includes 100+ vendors and rescues, games and contests, a Silent Auction, demos, and "The Mutt Strutt", which is a walk for pet. I was commissioned to design the event t-shirt, which doubles as the event logo.

pitties and purrs calendar

Pitties and Purrs Calendar

Pitties and Purrs Inc. is a small rescue whose dogs come from all over in order to be rehabilitated and find their forever homes. As a foster-based rescue, donations are essential when it comes to the care of the animals. This fundraiser urged P&P supporters to raise money for the rescue in order to have their dogs featured in 2016's monthly calendar.

dog of the month

Dog of the Month

Every month, Pitties and Purrs Inc. chooses one of their rescue pups who are awaiting a forever home as "dog of the month". During that month, the adoption fee is half-price. I was commissioned to market the chosen pittie each month with a flyer and social media graphics. Pictured here are a few of my favorite flyers.

hometown heroes

Hometown Heroes

BARCS, Maryland's largest open-intake shelter, launched it's "Hometown Heroes" Campaign as part of the Rachel Ray $100K Shelter Challenge with a goal of saving 2,100 lives. To draw attention to the campaign, posters were printed and blasted over social media with some of Baltimore's most notable celebrities. Shown here: NFL player Torrey Smith.

Animal Rescue Shirts

One of my specialites within the animal rescue network was retail graphics. T-shirt fundraisers are a great way for these local organizations to raise money for their shelters and rescues, and I created a handful of original designs for a variety of groups. Here's a few of them!
