In September of 2016, US Lacrosse celebrated moving into their new headquarters with a big “Grand Opening” event in honor of the donors who contributed to the National Campaign. The weekend also featured youth clinics conducted by Team USA players, the National Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, USA games, dedication ceremonies and a special NYPD vs. FDNY game.
My role as art director included designing the event logo (which I drew by hand), establishing an overall look for Grand Opening weekend, and creating all marketing collateral. Shown above: Print Collateral from the event, including the formal invitation (with save the date magnet), event poster and program.
The highlight of Grand Opening weekend was an FDNY versus NYPD game honoring friends of the game who lost their lives during the 9/11 tragedy in 2001. I was appointed with designing the jerseys for each team, which we called "Finest" and "Bravest". Each team jersey has a subtle icon representing their team on the front of the collar.
T-shirts (for sale during Grand Opening Weekend) were geared more toward the adult attendee - clean and simple. The event logo is featured on the chest with the US Lacrosse logo on the back collar. It also highlights the NYPD and FDNY team names and icons on each sleeve, and a custom-printed tag inside the back collar.
